5.2.1.1 Local Access

1. Connect laptop to a DAU (or DRU) Ethernet port, as shown in Figure 5-1, using CAT-5 cable with RJ45

connectors.

2. Power-up DAU and DRUs and allow them to boot-up.

3. Open-up a Web Browser and type the DAU name (e.g.

http://DW-DAU-CC001

) to Access DAU

embedded Web Server.

4. GUI screen with user name and password request appears. See your system administrator for initial user

name and password.

5. When the login is finished the opening screen shows up. From the Function Explorer Tree on the left

select Configuration screen.

6. Commence system configuration.

5.2.1.2 Remote Access

To enable secure remote access to DOR network, ask your system administrator to setup VPN server-client

interface between your office and DAU router, or load necessary VPN software onto your laptop to enable access

when you are out of office. Upon VPN login using login name and password provided by system administrator.

7. Upon VPN login using login name and password provided by system administrator, repeat steps 2 to 6

from the previous Section, to establish a remote access to DAU (and DRUs).
