▪
The initial value for the simulation is the actual gas concentration read by the
detector.
▪
The cursor flashes on the digit being modified (tens or units).
The user can modify the simulated gas-concentration value using the
Up
and
Down
arrow
keys.
The user can use the
Right
and
Left
arrow keys to move from one digit of the gas-
concentration value to the other, with the first digit changing the tens and the second digit
changing the units.
The user can end the simulation by pressing
ESC
.

Analog output test
This test allows the user to arbitrarily set a signal set point for the analogue output of the
device. This allows the user, for example, to verify the connections and ensure that the
receiver connected to this output is compatible with the unit.
The user can modify the simulated set point value using the
Up
and
Down
arrow keys.
The user can move from one digit to the next using the
Right
and
Left
arrow keys.
The user can end the simulation by pressing
ESC
.
Switching to the Battery

Switch to battery
This test forces the U•V6 unit to switch to battery power, as if there were a mains power
outage.
The user can activate this function by pressing the
ENTER
key. The system then asks for
confirmation before switching the power source.
Alarm management operates as per usual during a simulation. This means that, if the
simulated gas concentration exceeds an alarm threshold, the alarm is triggered and the
associated outputs are activated, along with the servos connected to them.
The signal that is actually produced at the device output depends on the interface
configuration chosen (0-20mA, 4-20mA, or 0-10 V). See Paragraph
4.3.7 Analogue
