Ethernet programming (IP link)
To be able to operate behind an ADSL box/router, the dialler must have an IP address. There are two ways to allocate this IP address:
•
Automatically (default programming): the parameters can be obtained from a DHCP server (dynamic IP address) in which case the
ADSL box/router allocates the address automatically.
N.B. if the dialler is unable to locate a DHCP server, the temporary address 192.168.0.197 is allocated. In this case, the dialler
cannot access the Digicom company and issues the error message “programming error” when switched to user mode.
