8. Use of the centralised power unit
To work with the LPS system, use the six buttons on the display.

8.1.
Display protection
The LPS centralised power unit has password protection against unauthorised
modifications. Without a password, data from the LPS system can only be viewed.
The display switches off two minutes after the last time a button is pressed. In the event
of any new action, it starts up and the LPS system’s start screen is displayed.
The default password is 2011, and can be changed from the display (
see section
8.2.3.1
).
8.2.
Display structure
The default display shows an overview of the device that presents information about the
system’s various modules (power
input, rectifier, contactor, battery and output circuits).
To access the system’s menu press
OK
.
Overview
On the different screens there are a number of symbols that can be pressed for different
actions. These symbols are:
o

This symbol indicates that the option has several selectable values. If the
cursor is over this symbol with the buttons
<
and
>
, the value can be changed
without entering a password.
o
#: This symbol indicates that it is an action. If the cursor is on the symbol, click
OK
to run the action indicated by the text next to the symbol.
o
*: This symbol indicates that there is a configurable value. If the cursor is on the
symbol, press
OK
to enter edit mode for the value (in edit mode the entire line
is shaded). Use the
<
or
v
buttons to decrease the value and the
>
or
ʌ
buttons
to increase the value. Press and hold to change the values faster. Press
←
to
cancel edit mode and discard changes , or press
OK
to finalise edit mode and
confirm the changes.
