Section  - Admin Programs

The Connection Screen

When the Windows Client starts, a Connection Screen, similar to the one below appears:

Menu Bar

The  Menu  Bar  contains  three  items,

  File

, 

Tools

  and 

Help

,  which  will  be  discussed 

later in detail.

Server List

Each  time  the  KVM-410.exe  is  run,  it 
searches the user’s local LAN segment for 
KVM-410 units, and lists the units it finds in 
the Server List.  To connect to one of these 
units, 

Double-Click

 it.

Server IP / Port

This option is used when you want to connect 
to a KVM-410 at a remote location.  You can 
select the IP Address from the drop-down 
list or key in an IP address if the one you 
want to connect to isn’t listed.  Specify the 
access port and 

Click Connect

 to establish 

a session with the KVM-410.

Message List

Lists  status  messages  regarding  the 
connection to the KVM-410.

Switch to 

Remote View

After  a  connection  to  a  KVM-410  is 
established,  this  button  becomes  active.  
Click  it  to  switch  and  take  over  console 
control  of  the  device  connected  to  the  
KVM-410

Change 

Password

Allows  the  user  to  change  their  password 
after logging in.
