Section 2 - Installation
Connect to Another Router
If you are connecting the D-Link router to another router to use as a wireless access point and/or switch, please follow these
steps:
1. Move the switch on the side of the DWM-112 to the
3G
position.
2. Use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to Port 2 on the DWM-112.
3. Manually set your computer’s IP address to 192.168.0.xxx, where xxx is a number between 2 and 254. For more
details, refer to Appendix B: Networking Basics.
4. Connect the power adapter to the DWM-112, and plug the power adapter into a power outlet. Wait about one minute
for the DWM-112 to boot.
5. Open a web browser, enter http://192.168.0.1 and press
Enter
. When the login window appears, enter Admin as the username
and enter admin as the password. Click
Log In
to continue.
6. Click on
Advanced
and then click
Advanced Network
. Uncheck the
Enable UPnP
checkbox. Click the
Save Settings
button.
7. Click
Advanced Settings
and then click
Network Settings
. Uncheck the
Enable DHCP Server
server checkbox. Click the
Save
Settings
.
8. Under
Router Settings
, enter an available IP address and the subnet mask of your network. Click the
Save Settings
button.
Use this new IP address to access the DWM-112’s configuration interface in the future. For more information, please consult
your network administrator.
9. You can now close the browser and change your computer’s IP settings back to their original values.
10. Use an Ethernet cable to connect your router to Port 1 on the DWM-112.
