Chapter 5: Troubleshooting
Problem Solution
Incorrect wind direction or
speed on EDGE 110WX
Weather Station Ensure that the flow of wind into the EDGE 110WX Weather Station is not
blocked by surrounding structures.
Ensure that the flow of wind through the EDGE 110WX Weather Station is unim-
peded and that the unit is free of debris.
Ensure that the rain sensor is pointed northwards
If the problem persists, contact AP/Cumberland or GSI Electronics
No readings or inaccurate
readings on EDGE 110WX
Weather Station Verify there is power to the Weather Station sensor.
Verify all connections are tight.
Verify the cable is free of kinks or damage.
Verify the wiring is correct.
Verify the wind channel is not obstructed and is free of spider webs, insects, dirt
and other debris.
Be careful not to puncture the waterproof film or scratch the reflector plate.
Verify the temperature and humidity sensors are clean.
Verify there is not ice on the Weather Station sensor.
If the problem persists, contact AP/Cumberland or GSI Electronics
Issues with the Rain Sensor Verify if the sensor conforms to the wiring diagrams
Verify if the sensor is connected at the right terminal
Verify if the link has been severed or if the protections have been activated
Verify if the sensor configuration is set correctly on the Main Controller
If the problem persists, contact your AP/Cumberland or GSI Electronics
