These voltages are electrically linked and are varied by the module when charging a
battery. 12 V Battery and 12 V Auxiliary are nominally 13.8 V @ 25°C. These voltages
will also vary when the module is powered from a backup battery.
* The battery input of the PS-21 does not have auto-resetting protection against
reverse polarity! Please ensure the battery is connected correctly.

Redundant Power
Supplies
Yes. Two or more power supplies can be installed on a backplane in any
available slots. Equal load sharing is not guaranteed.
Hot Swap
Yes. When 2 power supplies are present on the backplane, one power supply
can be swapped with no interruption to the processor or I/O.
Bundled
Accessories
External temperature sensor. Attach to or near negative battery terminal to
ensure full life span of backup battery is achieved.
When connected the temperature sensor returns 10 mV per
˚Kelvin
.
(Note 0
˚
Kelvin = -273
˚
C). When functioning correctly, the sensor will provide
2.73 V @ 0
˚
C and 2.93 V @ 20
˚C
etc.
