P S -11 Mo d u le LEDs
LED
Description (when ON)
OK
#
Module is functioning OK. OK LED will flash when communications is lost with the
processor module
Vsup
*
#
AC input supply is powered
Vb
#
Battery detected. ON while the current into or out of the battery is 100 mA or greater. If
a battery has
not
been detected (ie. the current into or out of the battery is less than
100 mA) OR if the battery is fully charged, Vb will flash once every 4 seconds.
5V
#
Internal 5 V supply is OK. This LED should always be ON as the 5 V supply is used to
power all the modules.
Vaux
#
Auxiliary 24 V supply is OK (will only display if the 24 V converter is installed).
BATT CHG
#
Battery is being charged. Current into battery is 100 mA or greater.
FL
#
Battery is in float charge mode
BO
#
Battery is in boost charge mode
LO
#
Battery has reached discharged condition (< 11.5 V± 0.2 V).
LO LED is cleared when battery > 12.4 V ± 0.2 V
All LEDs
except Vsup
Power supply is operating in redundant mode and the Input Supply is not powered.
#
Redundant Power Supply LEDs ON When Power Supply Is Switched OFF
When a redundant power supply is switched OFF, the LEDs will still be ON. The LEDs are powered by the
RS485 bus.
The PS-11 microprocessor does not run and the OK LED will flash to indicate that there is no communications
with the processor module.
If the input supply is disconnected to the redundant power supply, the Vsup LED will go OFF.
*
PS-11 Continues to Run From The Backup Battery (After Input Supply is Restored)
•
If the PS-11 is running from its AC input supply and a
Sealed Lead-Acid
battery is connected to the PS-11,
when the Input Supply is disconnected (eg. mains fail) and then reconnected, the Vsup LED will not turn ON.
The PS-11 will assume there is no AC or DC input supply and will continue to run from the battery and will
eventually shut down when the battery is discharged.
•
This problem can be fixed by either:
1. Open the original RTU configuration file using Toolbox 32
1.45f
or newer, save the file and then re-
download the configuration into the RTU (automatically configures the PS-11 to use a Seal Lead-Acid
battery).
2. If using Toolbox 32
1.45e
or older, open the original RTU configuration file, add the PS-11 module to the
IO Modules List (from the menu
Configuration, I/O Modules List
). Configure the PS-11 module from the IO
Modules List to use a
Battery Type
of
Sealed Lead-Acid
. Save the configuration and then download into the
RTU.
