Traps
Whenever a status value changes a trap will be sent to the SNMP manager. By interrogating
this trap it is possible to indentify the status change and its consequences. It will be quite
common for multiple traps to be sent for any one incident. E.g. removing an input may
typically trigger eight traps, it will then be down to the SNMP manager to sort these into a
hierarchical order or mask as necessary.
