a growing problem. Now when you leave your vehicle and keys with any individual
for any reason, you will have the peace of mind of knowing that only your transmitters
will operate the alarm and that no other person has coded extra transmitters to steal
your vehicle. For a period of 10 seconds after the vehicle is turned "on", the LED
Status Indicator will flash to indicate the number of transmitters programmed to
operate your security system. For example: two flashes and a pause indicate that only
two transmitters are coded to operate your system. Note: We strongly encourage you
not to leave your Crime Guard transmitter with any unauthorized person.
Transmitter Code Jumping
TM
: Each time you transmit a code to the security
system, the transmitter and security system will advance to another code to use for the
transmission. The Random Code Encryption Transmitter prevents a thief from using
a "code grabber" device to record and play back a transmission for the purpose of
disarming your security system. Please note that pressing the transmitter's arm /
disarm button many times while it is out of range of the security system can advance
its codes beyond the range of recognition. If this occurs, simply press the arm / disarm
button a few times to synchronize the Random Code Encryption between the
transmitter and the security system.
Operating Two Vehicles From One Transmitter: Your Crime Guard transmitter
is capable of operating multiple vehicles. See your Crime Guard dealer for details.
Prewarn Feature and the Code Learning Programmable Features chirps will still
operate.
9) Remote Temporary Chirp Bypass:
Feature Turned On: This feature will not work.
Feature Turned Off: Upon arming and disarming the security system, if the small
transmitter button is pressed and released, then the large transmitter button is pressed
and released within 2 seconds, the security system will not have siren chirps for the
arming and disarming confirmation. The siren chirps will be deleted for only that one
arm or disarm operation.
Programming Transmitters
When adding or deleting transmitter codes to operate the security system, follow
this process:
1) Turn "on" the ignition.
2) Within 5 seconds of turning "on" the ignition, press the Easy Valet
TM
switch 5 times.
The siren will chirp, confirming that for the next 10 seconds the system is ready
to learn a transmitter code. When the first transmitter code is learned all other
be present. If a code is not received within 10 seconds, the learning process will
automatically terminate.
