Electronic Siren And Flashing Lights
The electronic siren and the vehicle's exterior lights primary function is to attract
attention to your vehicle if the security system is triggered. In addition, they are also
used to communicate with you, as a way of confirming actions that have taken place,
or, that may be in process of automatically taking place. A chirp is the short, sharp
sound the siren makes as part of this communication. The exterior lights referred to
are the vehicle's parking lights. We do not recommend flashing the headlights. The
halogen headlights found in modern vehicles are not designed to be rapidly turned on
and off. If connected to the security system, a reduction of their useful life may be
noticed.
