3-2 The Celeron™ Processor

Installing the Hardware for the Celeron
Processor

The Celeron processor uses Single Edge Processor Package (SEPP)
technology.

Figure 3-1 shows the Celeron processor with and without heat sink
mounted.

Before you proceed, do the following:

1. Switch off the computer.

2. Remove the motherboard from the chassis.

3. Place it on a workbench.

4. Remove all DIMM chips, cables, and cards from the

motherboard so that it is bare.
