ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 8 — Angle Braces (continued):
Double check the posts are still plumb.
Tighten all connections except the angle braces. Do not over
tighten.
Position all Angle Braces (B) with the angled ends flat against
the corner posts nearest to them. With a pencil, mark the po-
sition where the holes in the braces rest against the corner
posts. At each mark drill a 3/16" diameter pilot hole 2" deep
into the posts. Fasten the angle braces to the adjacent posts
using one 5/16 x 3" lag screw and flat washer each.
Note: The stringers have been omitted from the illustration
for clarity.
STEP 9 — Narrow Platform Boards:
Place the two Narrow Platform Boards (I) tight against the
platform sides on top of the stringers. Fasten the narrow
platform boards (I) to the stringers with eight #10 x 2" screws
on each board.
STEP 10 — Platform Boards:
Lay out all nine Platform Boards (N) on the inside and
outside stringers. Check each board to make sure the best
looking surface faces up. Space the platform boards evenly
between the narrow platform boards. Fasten each platform
board using eight #10 x 2" screws.
