It controls Acceleration Voltage, Vacuum Type, Emission Current, Spot Size(SP), and BSE
image setting.
Acceleration Voltage
You can set the necessary acceleration voltage for the purpose when observing
specimens. (basic set values: 20kV) Acceleration voltage must be set properly in
accordance with the raw materials of specimens and the shape on the surface of
specimens in order to acquire the images you want. (range of acceleration voltage:
1~30kV)
High acceleration voltage(High voltage): If acceleration voltage is high, resolution
increases, which is appropriate for measuring high magnification. However, if
acceleration voltage is high, it is not appropriate for observing the shape on the surface
of specimens, and there can be damage on the specimens.
Low acceleration voltage(Low voltage): If acceleration voltage is low, it is appropriate for
measuring the phenomenon on the surface of specimens.
However, if acceleration voltage is low, the image gets dark as resolution decreases and
electron decreases.
