Hitching the machine to the tractor.
This very delicate and dangerous operation must be performed by authorised operators in perfect mental and physical
condition, trained by authorised training centres in accordance with occupational health and safety requirements in force and
authorised for the operation of dangerous equipment. The risk of collision, trapping or crushing is very high. Consequently,
operators can only remain in the space between the tractor and the machine if the hand brake is engaged.

Damage to the machine.
The operator is responsible for ensuring the maintenance and reliability of the machine. The operator is also liable if failing to
ensure repairs, and for damage, defects or wear of parts that may affect the safety of operators, the public, the environment
and the machine.

Damage, repairs and spare parts.
Operations involving maintenance, repairs, replacement of worn or damaged parts must only be performed by suitably
trained, qualified and authorised maintenance technicians as provided by authorised training centres, in accordance with the
requirements in force on occupational health and safety and the use of dangerous equipment. No type of welding, drilling,
cutting or grinding operations must be carried out. For special maintenance, contact the manufacturer or your local dealer.

Mobile phones.
The use of mobile phones may cause any electronic devices on the tractor to malfunction; this may also cause distraction
and accidents, as well as fires and explosions when loading the products to be spread.

Hydraulic pressure.
Pressurised oil may easily penetrate garments and the epidermis, and may cause serious injuries. Never attempt to identify
leaks in the hydraulic system, even on the tractor, or stop leaks with a finger.

Hydraulic system maintenance.
Maintenance is reserved for specialist maintenance technicians, including the control and tractor hitching devices.

GENERAL
PRECAUTIONS

Towed loads.
People and towed loads cannot be transported on the machine. Only transport the products to be spread in loose form.
The heap of the product to be spread must never exceed the line of the high sides.

Adverse weather.
Never operate the machine in adverse weather conditions, including poor visibility and rain. Danger of lightning, slipping,
falling from a height and chemical reactions with the product to be spread. Always operate in conditions with excellent
visibility and natural sunlight.

Solidity of the ground.
Only drive the machine over even and solid ground of known capacity. The machine loaded with the product to be spread
must only travel outdoors, on solid ground and at a due distance from any ditches or slopes. The machine must not be
driven over or parked on surfaces that cannot support the distribution of the loads, such as: underground tanks, manholes,
electricity, water and gas lines, sandy or muddy soil.

Tractor differential lock.
When the machine is attached, the tractor’s differential lock must be used very carefully, at very low speed and when
travelling on slippery ground.

Tractor ballast.
When driving, at least 20% of the tractor’s gross weight must be on the front axle. Sufficient ballast must be used, loaded on
the tractor only, so as to prevent dangerous situations that may significantly reduce the ability to steer the tractor, especially
when driving and operating the machine loaded with products to be spread.
