3.7 Mounting of the Thermal Insulator
It is important to use the thermal insulator for temperature-sensitive
materials to prevent the material from premature gelation.
NOTE:
It is recommended to attach a thermal insulator prior to loading a syringe.
Follow the steps below to attach the thermal insulator.
NOTE:
Make sure to use the correct thermal insulator for your
application. The 384-well microplate nozzle thermal insulator should
be used when dispensing in 384-well microplates. The standard nozzle
thermal insulator should be used when dispensing and bioprinting
in 6- to 96-well plates and Petri dishes.
1. Slide the thermal insulator into the cooling block.
2. Rotate the thermal insulator counterclockwise (looking
from the top of the printhead) until the insulator is securely
attached.

3.8 Detaching the Thermal Insulator
Follow the steps below to detach the thermal insulator.
1. Rotate the thermal insulator clockwise (looking from the
top of the printhead).
2. Slide the thermal insulator out of the cooling block.
