Multiple captures: If a capturing piece lands on a square from which it can make another capture, then it
must do so

as part of the same move. In the left-hand diagram below, the black man on a1 must capture
the white man on b2, landing on c3. The same man must then jump to a5 (removing the white man on b4),
then c7 (removing the man on b6).
The rule about multiple captures does not say that you must capture as many pieces in one move as you can.
In the right-hand position, the black man on c1 can, and must, jump to e3, capturing the white man on d2.
Then the same black man has two choices. It can jump to g5 and then e7, removing the white men from f4
and f6; or it may jump to c5, capturing a single white man on d4.
