eLL. 92 LED
4.4 LED module inserting
The LED module
(BVS 13 ATEX E018 U /
IECEx BVS 13.0030 U)
is attached to the light fitting.
Snap the module into the G13-sockets of the
light fitting, whereby a distinct clicking sound
can be heard (Fig. 2.9).
5. Putting into operation
Prior to operation, check the light fitting for its
proper functioning and installation in
compliance with these operating instructions
and other applicable regulations!
Only carry out insulation measurements
between PE and the external conductor L1
(L, L2, L3) as well as between PE and N.
– measuring voltage: max. 1 kV DC
– measuring current: max. 10 mA
Then close the light fitting. Refit the cover
plate that was previously removed on to the
terminal compartment of the pole mounted
light fitting (eLLM92..).
To do this, pull up the retaining piece of the
cable gland (fig. 2, item 3) and then clamp
down the cover plate and the gland with the
retaining piece. Screw the cover of the
terminal compartment down again with the
cross-head screws (Test torque 2.0 Nm).
6. Maintenance/Servicing
Observe the national regulations
applicable to the maintenance, servicing
and testing of apparatus for explosive
atmospheres (e.g IEC/EN 60079-17) and
the general rules of engineering!
Before opening the enclosure, ensure that
the device is disconnected from the
voltage supply, or take appropriate
protective measures.
The required maintenance intervals depend
on the specific application and will therefore
have to be determined by the user
dependent on the conditions of use.
When servicing the light fitting, particular
those parts that are decisive for their type of
protection against explosion will have to be
checked (e. g. intactness of flameproof
enclosed components, of the housing, firm fit
of the cable entries and efficacy of gaskets).
If during servicing, repairs prove to be
necessary, section 7 of these operating
instructions shall be observed.
When servicing, in particular those
components that affect the explosion
protection, shall be checked, e. g.:
- Housing and protective bowl for any cracks
or damages.
- Gaskets for their perfect condition.
- Terminals and blanking plugs for their firm
fit.
-
Because of the risk of an
electrostatic charge, the light fitting
shall only be cleaned with a damp, non-
fibrous cloth or sponge!
Only use nomal household washing-up
liquid diluted in water!
The water temperature may be max. 50°C.
After that, rinse with clear water to prevent
the risk of tension cracks in the protective
bowl!
7 Repair/Overhaul/Modifications
Repairs and overhaul may only be carried
out with genuine COOPER CROUSE-HINDS
spare parts.
In the event of damage, replacement of
these components is mandatory. In case
of doubt, the respective apparatus shall
be sent to Cooper Crouse-Hinds / CEAG
for repair.
Reconstruction or modifications to LED
module are not permitted.
Repairs that affect the explosion
protection, may only be carried out by
COOPER CROUSE-HINDS or a qualified
electrician in compliance with the
applicable national rules
(IEC/EN 60079-19).
Alterations or modifications to the LED
module are not permitted.

LED-module replacement
LED-module can be replacement without
disconnecting the light fitting from the mains
supply, because an all-pole switch will isolate
the lampholders when the protective bowl is
opened.
Notice: Observe national standards or
directions for use can differ!
The LED-module shall be replaced as shown
in Fig. 2.12 and 2.13.
8 Disposal/Recycling
The respective national regulations on waste
disposal shall be observed when disposing
of the apparatus.
Subject to changes or additions to the
product range in order to facilitate the
recycling of individual components, plastic
parts are provided with the identification
mark of the plastic material used.

If the eLL 92 light fitting is to be used with
fluorescent lamps, the following shall be
observed:
1. Open the light fitting eLL.92 as shown in
operating instruction.
2. Replace LED-module
(Fig 2.12 and (Fig 2.13).

Insertion of fluorescent lamps
Observe the safety instructions of the
lamp manufacturer!
Only use such Fluorescent lamps that
have been certified for these light fittings:
T8 Bi-pin-lamps 18 W and 36 W
acc. IEC 60081 with G13-holders.
Push the fluorescent lamp into both holders
until it reaches the stop, see Fig. 2.14. Ensure
that both pins on either end of the fluorescent
lamp engage in the holders.
Then turn the fluorescent lamps through 90°
into the lock-in position, see Fig. 2.15,
whereby the green surface in the holder
becomes visible. The fluorescent lamp is now
secured against falling out.

Replacement of fluorescent lamps
- Keep to the replacement intervals specified
by the manufacturer of the fluorescent
lamps!
-Fluorescent lamps can be replaced without
