The Play Queue tab
The Play Queue tab shows a running list of tracks which have been played on the selected
device, or are queued waiting to be played on the selected device.
Select the PLAY QUEUE tab to see what
songs have played and which are queued
to play. Ensure you have the appropriate
device selected from the Selected Device
list at the top of the screen.
Selecting an album to play, will add every
track, in order, to the Play Queue.
The track which is currently playing is
selected and highlighted in the list.
You can choose to skip to a different entry in the Play Queue by selecting the entry you
would like to play. This entry will now start playing, and you will be directed to the Now
Playing screen.
From this view it is also possible to display detailed media information by selecting the
appropriate album artwork image in the list.
8.5.1.
Modifying the Play Queue
It is possible to modify the Play Queue. This could be useful if you want to modify the current
playing order, especially if you would like to save the current list as a PlayList for playback at
a later date.
If you want to change the order of the tracks, or delete entries that you no longer wish to
play select Edit.
To delete a song from the list, select the
Trash Can icon on the right hand side of
the track entry.
If you want to change where the selected
song is played, you can drag the song up or
down the list to a new position.
First press and hold the background of the
entry you wish to move; its background
colour will change. Now slide your finger up or down to alter its position in the list.
