When the appliance is installed at elevations above 4,500 ft (1372m), and in the absence of speci fi c recommendations
from the local authority having jurisdiction, the certi fi ed high altitude input rating shall be reduced at the rate of 4% for
each additional 1,000 ft (305m).
Change in fl ame appearance from "HI" to "LO" is more evident in natural gas than in propane.
