Measure the thickness of your original to find the right setting. The
Paper Ready
key will turn yellow (stop blinking) when the guide plate
is positioned correctly and is ready for thick media scanning.
5.2.2 Automatic Thickness Adjustment Control
Some scanner models support Automatic Thickness Adjustment
Control (ATAC). Scanners supporting ATAC have an ATAC key on
the operator’s panel. You can change the insertion slot size (guide
plate height) on your scanner from 0 to 15 mm (0 to .6”)
The ATAC key is on the operator panel.
Adjusting the insertion slot for thick media with ATAC:
1. Press the ATAC key on your operator’s panel to set the scanner
in ATAC mode.
2. The
Paper Ready Indicator
blinks yellow indicating the scanner is
in ATAC mode but not yet ready, i.e., the guide plate is not yet
positioned on the thick original.
