Tips and Notes
• Prior to removing the memory card, any ongoing recording should be terminated and the
time-lapse camera should be turned off.
• We recommend the use of high-quality alkaline batteries to ensure lasting and safe use.
Rechargeable batteries have a lower output voltage, which leads to a shorter operating time
for the camera; rechargeable batteries are also more temperature sensitive.
However, the batteries will become
fl
at in just 1-2 days if you want to set a short recording
interval (e.g. 5 seconds instead of 24 h). In this case, you should, of course, use rechargeable
batteries!
Cleaning
Clean the product only with a soft, clean, dry and lint-free cloth. Clean the lens very carefully;
otherwise you will leave scratch marks.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents as these can cause discolouration of the housing.
Do not point any water jet (e.g. from a garden hose or even a high-pressure cleaner) on to the
product; never dip it in or below water, as it may destroy the product.
Disposal
a) General instructions
Electrical and electronic devices must not be disposed of as domestic waste!
Please dispose of the device, when it is no longer of use, according to current statu-
tory requirements.
Remove any normal or rechargeable batteries inserted and dispose of them sepa-
rately from the product.
b) Normal and Rechargeable Batteries
As end user, you are required by law (Battery Regulation) to return used batteries and
rechargeable batteries. Do not dispose of used batteries in the household waste!
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with the following sym-
bols to indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The symbols of the
relevant heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name written
on the battery/rechargeable battery e.g. under the rubbish bin symbol on the left).
You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the of
fi
cial col-
lection points of your community, in our stores, or at places where batteries or rechargeable
batteries are sold.
You thereby ful
fi
l your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.

d) “Quality” feature (Setting the image compression)
Press the “
F
” (5) and “
S
” (7) keys to select between the image quality levels “Fine” and
“Normal” and press the “OK” (11) button. Then the setup menu reappears.
e) “Resolution” feature (Setting the resolution)
Press the “
F
” (5) and “
S
” (7) buttons to select between the two available resolutions, 1280x720
and 1920x1080, and press the “OK” (11) button. Then the setup menu reappears.
f) “Frame Rate” feature (Setting the image refresh rate)
Press the “
F
“ (5) and “
S
” (7) buttons to set the preferred image refresh rate (5, 10, 15, 20, 25,
or 30 images/s) and then press the “OK” (11) button. Then the setup menu reappears.
Depending on this setting, the AVI
fi
le on the PC will be played accordingly quickly
or slowly. For instance, the setting “5 fps” means 5 images result in a playback
duration of 1 second.
The higher the setting, the smoother the playback of the AVI
fi
le.
g) “Frequency” feature (Mains frequency for
fl
uorescent tubes)
Press the “
F
” (5) and “
S
” (7) buttons to select between the two available frequencies, “50 Hz”
and “60 Hz”, and press the “OK” (11) button. Then the setup menu reappears.
The setting will be signi
fi
cant only when the time-lapse camera should take pictures
under the light of a
fl
uorescent lamp. When recording outdoors, this setting is not
important.
If pictures are taken under the light of a
fl
uorescent lamp, set the frequency of the
mains voltage using the “Frequency” feature (e.g. 50 Hz in Europe); otherwise
streaks may appear on the image.
h) “Date/Time” feature (Setting date/time)
Proceed as follows:
1. Press the “
F
” (5) and “
S
” (7) buttons to select between the settings for year, month, date,
hours, minutes or seconds.
2.

j) “Format” feature (Formatting the memory card)
Press the “
F
” (5) and “
S
” (7) buttons to select between “YES” (yes, format the memory card) or
“NO” (no, cancel) and press the “OK” (11) button. Then the setup menu reappears.
When you format the memory card, all data on it are lost.

camera is displayed.
To install the software
To operate the software, a Windows operating system is required; the minimum requirement
is Windows XP.
Place the CD in the appropriate drive of your computer. Finally, start the installation software
“Setup.exe” on the CD and follow all the software instructions.
Using the software, you can play the AVI
fi
lms (directly from the memory card or via
USB) recorded by the time-lapse camera, as well as modify the playback speed,
view frames of the AVI
fi
lm, convert the AVI
fi
lm to other playback formats/resolu-
tions, etc.
