• The LCD monitor with digital recorder should not be placed in the vicinity of
devices with strong electrical fields, such as cell phones, radio sets and electrical
motors, etc. This may lead to malfunction.
• Never let the packaging material lie around unattended. Plastic foil / bags etc. can
become a dangerous toy for children, there is a risk of suffocation.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, discon-
nect the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device does not operate any longer and
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- it has been subjected to considerable stress in transit.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer’s
Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are
to be observed.
• The LCD monitor with digital recorder, the remote control as well as the power unit
may only be operated in dry, indoor rooms.
• The LCD monitor with digital recorder may only be operated with the provided
power unit. The remote control is supplied with 2 x 1.5V micro batteries (type:
AAA).
• Capacitors in the device may still be charged even after it has been disconnected
from all power sources.
• The power unit may never be plugged in or unplugged with wet hands.
• Never pull at the cable of the power unit. Always grip the power unit’s housing to
unplug it!
• Make sure that the power pack is separated from the LCD monitor with digital
recorder when installing the SATA hard drive and that the LCD monitor with digital
recorder is turned off.
• When installing / mounting the appliance, make sure that the connection cable is
neither pinched nor damaged by sharp edges.
• Remove the plug mains unit from the wall socket if the device is not in use for a
longer period of time.
• Always pull the power unit out of the mains socket before cleaning the LCD moni-
tor with digital recorder.
• In case of a thunderstorm, unplug the power supply for safety reasons.
• Pressure and traction forces as well as drops from a low height may damage
the device.
• Never replace damaged mains cables yourself. In such cases, disconnect the
appliance from the mains and take it to a specialist workshop.
• Never pour liquids into electrical devices. This would cause a serious danger of
fire or electric shock. If such a case does occur, disconnect the power pack unit
from the mains socket immediately and consult an expert.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a qualified spe-
cialist or a specialised repair shop.
