8. Connection and installation

All the connecting cables must not be bent or squeezed. This can result in malfunc-
tions, short circuits and defects in the device. The LCD monitor with digital recorder
should not be placed in the vicinity of devices with strong electrical fields, such as
cell phones, radio sets and electrical motors, etc.
Make sure that the power pack is separated from the LCD monitor with digital
recorder during installation and connection and that the LCD monitor with digital
recorder is turned off. Keep the system components away from vibrations.
The LCD monitor with digital recorder, the remote control as well as the power unit
may only be operated in dry, indoor rooms.
8.1 Video format setting PAL/NTSC
Refer to the image on the left to set the video format PAL
or NTSC using the jumpers.
The corresponding jumper position for the respective
video format is marked on the board.
The setting PAL is the default setting and used in Europe
as well as Australia.
8.2 Installation of the SATA hard disk

A SATA hard disk is not contained in the delivery. This must be purchased sepa-
rately.
You can install a SATA hard drive with a memory capacity of max. 500GB in the housing of the LCD mon-
itor with digital recorder.
To ensure proper installation, you have to remove the cover of the hard disk slot (27). The cover is
attached with 4 screws.
• Make sure that the power unit of the LCD monitor with digital recorder is separated.
• Remove the attachment screws of the cover of the hard disk slot (27).
• Carefully remove the cover.
