7.2.1
VENTING THE CARTRIDGE FILTER WITH PRESSURE
REDUCER
/ To this end, after installation the cartridge filter with pressure reducer is filled with water by opening
the upstream shut-off valve.
The cartridge filter with pressure reducer is now at the same pressure as the water system.
/ The enclosed air must then be immediately removed from the cartridge filter with pressure reducer in
order to avoid damage to the installation caused by pressure surges. The cartridge filter with pressure
reducer is vented by opening the shut-off valves (see chapter 7.3 “SCREEN REPLACEMENT”).
After venting the cartridge filter with pressure reducer is ready for use.
7.3
SCREEN REPLACEMENT
/ Prior to dismantling close the shut-off valves upstream and downstream of the cartridge filter with
pressure reducer.
/ Detach the front cover to the front and subsequently detach the UV protection cover.
/ Unscrew all the four cylinder screws M6×130 with an Allen key.
/ Pull the filter bowl off in downward direction and remove the used up screen with the gasket.
/ Insert a new screen with gasket in the filter bowl.
/ Screw the filter bowl with screen and gasket to the filter housing.
/ Attach the front cover again.
/ Again open the shut-off valves upstream and downstream of the cartridge filter with pressure reducer.
/ When recommissioning the first flow of water must be drained by briefly opening the nearest tap.
/ Thus the filter is vented simultaneously.
Before starting up (initial putting into service or startup after maintenance work),
fill the cartridge filter with pressure reducer with water and vent!
Select the torque (approx. 4 Nm) so that the gasket closes and the cartridge filter
with pressure reducer is not damaged or strained!
