4 Configuring
Condre RAID
The following sections describe how to configure the
Condre RAID
for operation. To
configure the
Condre RAID
you must configure the RAID settings and the SCSI settings.
After these two steps are completed the
Condre RAID
will seem like a normal SCSI hard
disk to the host system.
4.1 Initial RAID Configuration
This section provides instructions on how to setup a RAID configuration for the first time.
The instructions use the front control panel, however these steps may also be
performed using a remote terminal or terminal emulation program. Refer to section
6
Monitor Utility
for instructions on configuring and using the RS-232 port and monitor
utility.

1.
Turn on the
Condre RAID
from power supply switch.
2.
Press the [ENT] button to display the “Main Menu” menu.
3.
Press the [ENT] button to open the “0 Quick Setup” menu.

Press the down arrow [

] button until the “01 Quick Setup” menu is displayed then
press [ENT] button.
5.
Press the down arrow [
▼
] button until the “011 Reconfim” menu is displayed then
press the [ENT] button.
6.
Select “Yes” to change an existing RAID configuration.
4.1.2 Single Host Configuration
1. Turn on the
Condre RAID
from power supply switch.
2. Press the [ENT] button to display the “Main Menu” menu.
3. Press the [ENT] button to open the “1 RAID Params” menu.
4. Press the down arrow [

] button until the “11 Re-conf RAID” menu is displayed then
press [ENT] button.
