When

the

Switch

AUTO

‐

OFF

(manual)

Mode,

you

may

select

which

modem

should

online.

Use

the

◄►

arrow

keys

select

the

TRAFFIC

Modem

online

(i.e.,

bridging)

the

REDUNDANT

Modem

online

(i.e.,

backing

up).

Press

ENTER

configure.

When

the

Switch

AUTO

‐

(automatic)

Mode,

manual

selection

not

available.

The

Switch

has

control

and

automatically

backs

the

Traffic

Modem

based

its

fault

relay

activity.

The

Switch

learns

and

retains

the

configuration

the

Traffic

Modem

–

use

this

configuration

information

program

the

Redundant

Modem.

AUTO

‐

Mode,

the

(CONFIG:)

MANUAL

screen

appears

follows:

Switch

effectively

BACKUP HOLDOFF SEC: 05
RESTORE HOLDOFF SEC: 10

Set

the

holdoffs,

delay

times,

between

the

Switch’s

modem

alarm

detection

and

its

reaction

the

event.

These

holdoffs

are

only

applicable

when

the

Switch

Auto

Mode.

When

active

modem

exhibits

unmasked

fault,

the

Switch

checks

that

the

Redundant

Modem

not

also

faulted.

fault,

the

Backup

Holdoff

determines

how

long

the

Switch

will

wait

before

performing

the

actual

backup,

switchover

traffic

the

Redundant

Modem.

When

the

Switch

currently

backing

Traffic

Modem,

offline

unless

modem
