Connecting a cellular telephone to the ICRI-2PE or ICRI-2PED
1.
Insert the Telephone Interface Adapter into the jack on the ICRI, labeled TELEPHONE.
NOTE: The Telephone Interface adapter plug and jack are “keyed” and must be aligned, before
inserting the plug.
2.
Tighten the locking ring on the adapter to secure it.
3.
Insert the telephone interface cable into the headset jack on the cellular telephone.
NOTE: If using a cellphone with a 2.5mm jack, use P/N 179.0693. If using a cell phone with a
3.5mm jack, use P/N 179.0717.
4.
Set cell phone’s speaker/earphone audio to a mid-level setting, according to the cell
phone manufacturer's instructions.
5.
Connect the small, modular plastic plug on the interface cable to the telephone interface
adapter on the ICRI.
6.
Dial a remote telephone
7.
When the remote telephone party answers, they will be heard in the ICRI’s handset.
NOTE: Be sure the cellphone is in “headset” mode. If incoming audio is heard from the
cellphone’s speaker, the cellphone may be in “speaker” mode
