2. Installation

2.1 Ports on the ASAP P2.5X

The rear panel includes seven (7) modular ports, an

ON/OFF

switch, audio jack, and a power input port:

2.2 Connecting the ASAP P2.5X

Connect the AC Adapter cord into the

PWR

socket on the back of unit and connect the other end into

your standard 110VAC electrical outlet.

Connect a telephone line cord to the

LINE 1

jack on the back of the unit and connect the other end of

this cord into the

LINE 1

wall jack.

Connect a telephone line cord to the

LINE 2

jack on the back of the unit and connect the other end of

this cord into the

LINE 2

wall jack.

Both lines are initially assigned for voice calls. If one line is to be used as a fax line, connect it to

LINE 2

on the back of the unit. Refer to Page 4, Section 3.1 - “Assigning Telephone Lines.”

Note:

During a power failure, only

EXT 20

through

LINE 1

will work.
