Trouble shooting

The sph860/sph900 is manufactured using the latest
components and state of the art technology.
A Manipulation inside the device by the user is not
needed.

Do not open the device and or the probe head.
Opening the housing can damaged visual and me-
chanically sensitive components.

An unauthorised opening of the device or probe head or

will make all warranty and warranty claims against the

ColorLite GmbH invalid

Problem

Solution

The device cannot be

switched

on.

The

display remains off

Reload the rechargeable bat-

tery

No remission spec-

trum is displayed after

a loading a standard

from the memory.

Colour standards can be stored

with or without the remission

data. To store with remission

spectrum

switch on

in the

“Settings”

window

“Save

spectrum”

Communication

with

the PC is not working.

Check the cable connection.
Check that COM-port settings

are correct. When the device is

connected via USB the port

should be listed. Also if the

Bluetooth driver has been cor-

rectly installed the device serial

no. should be visible.
Check that a valid license key

has been installed in Color-

DaTra (menu: spectrophotome-

ter – license overview)

Warning window:

Check that the calibration

standard is correct and not

contaminated.
Check the probe head opening

for contamination and clean if

necessary with

dry and oil

free

compressed

air.

If this does not help please

contact the

ColorLite GmbH

or your local distributor.

If you have reason to assume that the sph860/sph900 is
not working correctly or results do not correspond to the
device specifications, please contact the ColorLite GmbH
or your local dealer.
