3.2 Probe head
The probe head [see Fig. Probe head] is permanently
connected to the operating unit via a flexible stainless
steel cable.
This cable contains an optical fibre and should not
be forcefully bent (less than 15 cm radius) during
the measurements.
3.3 Calibration cap
To calibrate the sph860/sph900 a certified white standard
is supplied. This standard is traceable to the normal of the
PTB (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt) in Braun-
schweig and comes with a certificate from the BAM (Fed-
eral Institute for Materials Research and Testing).
To enable a reliable and consistent
calibration the BAM standard is
precisely fitted dust proof housing -
the calibration cap.
So that the BAM standard is
protected from soiling, always
replace the lid after calibration.
