APPENDIX B

In-Place Quartz Tube Cleaning

The UV-C Pro quartz tubes may be cleaned without removing them from the vessel.

1. Ensure that the UV-C Pro is isolated from the rest of the pool system with valves at the inlet and

outlet.

a. Connect to the inlet/outlet unions or flanges.

b. Flow the cleaning solution from bottom to top.

2. When cleaning is complete, drain the UV-C Pro completely from the inlet union or flange and

run the pool system immediately for an extended period to fully rinse the internal components.

a. Special considerations may apply depending on the cleaning system.

b. Contact Customer Service if there is any question about compatibility with the UV-C Pro

components.
