14. Instructions for disposal of packaging, filters
and electronic equipment when using the fan
coil
The instructions below must be carefully followed by
the person responsible for installation and maintenance
throughout the life of the appliance, with the obligation
to comply with the requirements listed:
• The packaging consists of recyclable materials, such
as cardboard and polystyrene (EPS); the printed in-
structions and polythene (PE) protective bags and
sheets are also made from recyclable material
• The air filters must be disposed of as municipal solid
waste
• The electrical and electronic equipment must be
managed separately, in accordance with the laws in
force in the country in question
• Any batteries in the appliances must be disposed of
separately, according to local municipal regulations
15. Instructions for disassembly, recycling and dis-
posal at the end of the unit’s working life
The instructions below must be carefully followed by
the person responsible for dismantling the unit. The
unit as a whole is made up of materials that can be
managed as SRM (secondary raw materials), with the
obligation to comply with the following requirements:
• If the fluid in the circuit contains antifreeze, it should
not be allowed to drain freely, as it is pollutant. It
should be collected and suitably disposed of
• Oils, greases, detergents, solvents and paint res-
idues must be disposed of in accordance with the
laws and regulations in force
• The electronic components are considered special
waste, and as such must be delivered to an author-
ised waste collection centre
• The materials deriving from dismantling the applianc-
es (steel cosmetic and structural panels, aluminium
or steel supply grills, aluminium and copper heat ex-
changer coils, brass heat exchanger coil manifolds,
fan, electrical panel box, plastics used for the con-
troller (ABS, PP, POM or other materials, according
to the identification symbol shown on each part), pol-
ythene (EPS) insulators, motor: steel and aluminium
rotor, plastic and copper stator, steel bearings, elec-
tronic boards: hazardous waste) must all be separat-
ed and disposed of in accordance with the laws and
regulations in force
• The cross-linked polyethylene or polyurethane foam
rubber pipe insulation and the sound-absorbing
sponge that covers the panelling, must be removed
and managed as municipal solid waste
16. Disposal of the product
Disposal of waste electrical and
electronic equipment (WEEE), pur-
suant to
European Directive 2012/19/EU.
(Applicable in countries with sepa-
rate waste collection systems)
The symbol placed on the product
or in the documentation states that,
at the end of its working life, the
products must not be disposed as normal municipal
solid waste.
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol is shown on all
of the products to remind users of the requirements of
separate waste disposal.
