Step 6
Open Belt Tensioner as shown in
Figure 59
:
• One hand: Press down on the front panel of the Belt
Tensioner and hold (1).
• Other hand: Squeeze the Belt Tensioner Release
Handle to unlock Belt Tensioner (2).
• Rotate Belt Tensioner into the fully open position by
rotating toward front of vehicle (3).
Step 7
If installing with lap/shoulder belt:
• Route both the lap and shoulder portions
of the vehicle lap/shoulder belt through
blue Vehicle Belt Guides on each side of
Base and buckle vehicle belt as shown in
Figure 60a
.
NOTE:
DO NOT pull the shoulder belt all
the way out to the end. This will put the
vehicle belt into locked mode, making the
next few steps more difficult.
If installing with lap-only belt:
• Route lap-only belt through blue Vehicle
Belt Guides on each side of Base and
buckle vehicle belt as shown in
Figure 60b
