This guide describes in general how to attach an accessory to the end frame kit (R020B00001).
These instructions and the instructions for the R020B00001 end frame are
written to be used together
.
If you have not installed the R020B00001 end frame, consult these instructions as you assemble the framing for both the accessory and the end frame.
Adjust dimensions as
needed to accommodate the accessory installation and location.
NOTE:
The R020B00001 end frame is designed to frame an end of one of our 20' wide
roll-form buildings. Depending on the accessory
, some end frame components may remain
unused when an accessory is installed in the end frame.
If you have already installed the R020B00001 end frame, use these instructions to determine the best location for the accessory
. It may be necessary to reposition some end frame
members.
Consult the door kit and PC package instructions (if applicable) before you
frame for the accessory
.
Consult the services of a qualified contractor if needed.
It is the responsibility of the owner/
contractor to adapt these instructions to safely and competently install an accessory in the R020B00001 end frame.
Consider the following when framing for the accessory:
1.
Based on the dimensions of the accessory
, determine where you can position it in
the end frame. When a door exists, consider the door position
when open
to prevent
conflicts when installing an accessory
.
2.
Attach the accessory
. Be sure to determine how you want the end wall panels (if
equipped) to attach to the framing and install accordingly
.
NOTE:
If you purchased a fabric end panel to cover the building end frame, remove the
panel material as needed to allow for the accessory installation.
If you purchased a polycarbonate package (8mm twin-wall or corrugated), install those panels before installing the accessory
. Panels or parts of panels may be left over from
the panel kit when an accessory is installed.

•
Measure accessory to verify rough opening. Samples in this guide show a fan installed. Make appropriate adjustments for dif
ferent size openings. Same principle
applies when accessories other than a fan are installed.
•
Use dimensional lumber: treated/kiln dried (owner's choice).
•
Door header is at a required height.
The slider rails for
the doors are secured to this end frame member
. Do not
reposition the horizontal brace used to install any sliding door
.
•
Bottom horizontal brace placement can be lowered. Other end frame braces are used to secure polycarbonate panels when equipped. Consult the PC Package instructions for dimensions and to determine the best locations and when framing for accessories. End frame braces support the polycarbonate panels.
•
Install the framing for the accessory before you install any panel from a PC Package if equipped.
After attaching the
accessory frame to the end frame, dry fit the accessory in the frame and adjust frame as needed.
Then, remove the
accessory
, install the polycarbonate or fabric panel, and
remove material from the location where the accessory will be installed.
Attach accessory to the frame.
•
Account for double and single swinging doors as you would sliding doors when installing accessories.
ATTENTION:
All materials used for the accessory frame and
all fasteners and brackets required to secure the frame to the end frame and the accessory to the frame
are supplied by
the customer
.
