11 Care, maintenance and repair
11.1 Care by cleaning
The house water system should always be kept in a
clean condition.
Clean the pre-filter at regular intervals, remove the
cover, put out the filter vertically and rinse it under clean
water.
Always keep the cooling fins clean and free.
ATTENTION!
Make sure that the pump is properly placed and
ready for use. Check if all hose connections are
tight.
ATTENTION!
For safety reasons, never use the pump for corrosive
liquids such as acid. To avoid corrosion, do not
pump chemicals or other aggressive substances.
ATTENTION!
Do not allow the pump to run for more than 10 min-
utes with the discharge line closed as this may
cause damage to the pump due to water overheat-
ing.
NOTE!
The house water system DWS 1105 is equipped with
an additional dry-running protection and pre-filter.
The dry-running protection switches the pump off as
soon as no water can be pumped.
The pre-filter filters efficiently sand and similar parti-
cles from the liquid, minimizing wear and extending
the service life of the pump.
ATTENTION!
Before maintenance work, the pump must be dis-
connected from the mains. If it is not disconnected
from the mains, u.a the risk of unintentional starting of
the pump can occur.
NOTE!
The warranty does not cover the parts of the water
pump that have been treated by the operator as
being abusive or negligent. For a full warranty, the
operator must operate the water pump as descri-
bed in the instructions.
For proper operation of the water pump, regular
adjustments must be made.
ATTENTION!
Never use solvents to clean plastic parts or painted
surfaces. A surface release and consequential da-
mage may occur.
Use protective gloves!
NOTE!
If the device is not used for a long time, the water in
the pump should be drained. The pump body, impel-
ler and bracket should be cleaned and coated with
anti-corrosion oil before storing in a well-ventilated
dry place.
