9.1 Connection of the suction pipe

ATTENTION!
Only use an extension cable whose cross-section
and rubber sheathing correspond at least to the
connection cable of the device and are marked with
the corresponding abbreviation according to VDE.
Power plugs and couplings must be splash-proof.
WARNING!
Danger to life!
There is danger to your life if you do not follow these
rules.
- Never work with the water pump if you are under the
influence of alcohol, drugs or medications and / or
you are overtired or suffer from concentration-distur
-
bing illnesses.
- Die Submersible water pump may only be operated
by one person. Other persons must keep away from
the water pump during operation.
ATTENTION!
Make sure that only fresh water is pumped with the
water pump. Using the water pump for other fluids
will damage the pump.
ATTENTION!
To avoid fire hazards, keep the pump at least
1 meter away from building walls and other equip-ment
during operation. Do not place flammable objects near
the engine.
Wear protective cloth!
Wear safety shoes!
Wear safety glasses!
ATTENTION!
Check the general condition of the hoses. Make sure
that the hoses are not damaged before connecting
them to the pump.
ATTENTION!
Before commissioning, always fill the pump with water.
Dry running can cause damage.
ATTENTION!
The suction pipe must be installed in such a way that
it cannot exert any mechanical forces or distor-tions
on the pump.
ATTENTION!
When pumping dirty liquids, install a intake filter to
protect the pump from sand and dirt.
NOTE!
It is recommended to install a non-return valve to
prevent water backflow when the pump is switched
off.
