Appendix IV Measuring method air velocities

Requirements

The measurement of air velocities in the cabinet is performed according to manufacturer
specifications as described in chapter 9 on page 45.

Air velocities crossflow

•

Switch on the cabinet;

•

Measure the airspeeds in a rectangular grid with a distance between each measurement point
of no greater than 300 x 300 mm. The rectangular grid must be 150 mm away from each
side that encloses the filter.

•

Measure with an anemometer in a verticall plane at 150 mm from the HEPA filter

•

This measurement must be done for at least one minute on each position.
