TIMING TOOLS PSA/FIAT 1.4-1.6-2.0-2.2 DIESEL
INSTRUCTIONS
1.4HDi and 1.6HDi engines
1. Remove the blanking plug in the bell housing (if fi tted) and insert the VS4735/P16 Locking Pin.
2. Rotate the crankshaft slowly in the direction of rotation until the
Locking Pin can be inserted into one of the slots in the fl ywheel to
lock the engine.
3. Remove the crankshaft pulley fi xing bolt, crankshaft pulley, lower
timing belt cover, crankshaft position sensor, and belt guide angle
bracket.
Note: Check that the magnetic track (sensor ring) is not damaged,
do not touch the magnetic track.
4. Lightly re-fi t the crankshaft pulley securing bolt to facilitate engine
turning, and remove the VS4735/P16 Locking Pin.
