INSTALLING THE HYDRAULIC CYLINDER
1. Unscrew the retaining nut from the
cylinder support rod and tighten
the bolts that hold it to the side of
the machine using a 17mm
spanner.
2. Slide the cylinder onto the rod, as
shown, with the feed rate control
knob pointing upwards and refit
the retaining nut into position at
the end of the support rod.
3. Insert the hinge pin through the
hole in the end of the piston and
move the cylinder upwards
towards the cylinder bracket
attached to the main arm.
NOTE:
In order to screw the hinge
pin into the bracket, it may
be necessary to depress the
piston. Alternatively, get a
second person to raise and
support the bandsaw arm
until the hinge pin is aligned with the hole in the bracket.
4. Screw in and tighten the hinge pin using a 14mm spanner.
