7. MAINTENANCE
7.1 SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE
Scheduled maintenance operations on the Panning machine (a kind of copper kettle) can be performed
by the operator/user who, in this case, fulfils the function of a maintenance technician.
7.1.1 ELECTRICAL ISOLATION
The operator/scheduled maintenance technician may only perform maintenance tasks on the unit when
the unit is not enabled and/or live.
OPERATORS (USERS) ARE NOT PERMITTED TO PERFORM ANY PART REPLACEMENT OPERATIONS ON THE UNIT.
7.1.2 OPERATING PROCEDURE
This abovementioned procedure requires that the power supply to the unit be disconnected. This is
achieved by pressing the
STOP
button and pulling the electrical plug out of the power outlet.
7.1.3 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
In order to perform any scheduled maintenance tasks safely, proceed as follows:
–
only utilise tools and equipment that are suitable for the task and in good condition;
–
adhere to the service intervals prescribed in the Operation and Maintenance Manual.
Immediately identify the cause of any faults such as excessive noisiness, overheating, fluid leaks, etc and
take remedial action. If in doubt, contact the Manufacturer or an authorised service centre.
