Master/Slave
Connectivity
The Master/Slave mode allows a COLORado™ 4 IP (the “master product”) to control
one or more COLORado™ 4 IPs (the “slave products”) without a DMX controller. One
COLORado™ 4 IP becomes the master product when running an Auto or Custom
program, or by being in STATIC mode.
You must configure each slave product’s control panel to operate in SLAVE mode.
During Master/Slave operation, the slave products will operate in unison with the master
product.
DO NOT connect a DMX controller to products operating in Master/Slave mode.
The DMX controller signals may interfere with the signals from the master
product.
The
Operation
section of this manual provides detailed instructions on how to
configure Master and Slave products.
Note: For optimum control of the 16-bit dimming channels in the TR16 personality,
be sure that both dimming curves in SET > DIMX and SET > CURV are set to OFF.
