Chassis Plans
DMA Channels 0, 1, 3, 5, 6 and 7
These options indicate whether the specified DMA channel is available for use by the system for
PCI/Plug and Play devices or is reserved for use by legacy devices.
The Setup screen displays the system option:
DMA Channel # [Available]
where # is the DMA Channel number
Two options are available:
Available
indicates that the specified DMA channel is available for use by PCI/PnP
devices.
Reserved
indicates the specified DMA channel is reserved for use by legacy devices.
Reserved Memory Size
This option specifies the size of the memory area reserved for legacy devices. If this option is set
to
Disabled
, the
Reserved Memory Address
option is not available.
The Setup screen displays the system option:
Reserved Memory Size [Disabled]
Available options are:
Disabled
16k
32k
64k
Saving and Exiting
When you have made all desired changes to
PCIPnP
Setup, you may make changes to other Setup
options by using the right and left arrow keys to access other menus. When you have made all of
your changes, you may save them by selecting the
Exit
menu, or you may press
<Esc>
at any time
to exit the BIOS Setup Utility without saving the changes.
