You may cascade or chain up to 4 units together giving you 24 rooms of audio. One unit will act as a Master
relaying all the commands to the others. The procedure follows:
Obtain a 3.5 mm Stereo mini din male-to-male cable. Radio Shack has a 3' version that works perfectly. On the
Master unit, insert one end into the din receptacle labeled as 'M' on the back of the unit. Insert the other end of
the cable into the next unit but use the receptacle labeled 'S". M and S stand for master and slave (auxiliary).
Repeat this procedure using more cables and the M and S jacks until you have four units chained together. (Each
unit after the first will use the M and S jacks both if there is a follow on unit. See illustration). Locate the set of
DIP switches located toward the upper right on the rear of each unit. Make sure that switches 5 & 6 are down.
Additionally, each Slave Unit should have switch 7 moved down also. This triggers the chaining action. (Note
that the power indicator for each chained unit will turn Orange vice Green when power is applied.) That com-
pletes the procedure. Wire each ARIA to the rooms and equipment as desired.

PAGING
To activate whole-house paging, proceed as follows: Connect the page audio into the rear of the ARIA using the
RCA jacks labeled Page L and R. Next insert a 3.5mm male din cable into the jack marked 'P' on the ARIA. The
other end of the cable should go to the switch that you are using to activate the page. Ideally this would be a dry
contact or switch closure. When the ARIA sees the switch closure it will MUTE all outgoing audio and route the
PAGE audio over to the ZONE OUTPUTS. (Fig. 7)
