7.4
Configuration
Before connection over the radio hop is established, it is of high importance that the
elements are assigned a dedicated IP address, according to an IP plan for the total
network.
Note:
If connection over the hop is established with identical IP addresses,
an IP address conflict will occur, and remote connection to the
element on the other side of the hop may be lost.
By default all elements have the same IP settings:
•
IP address: 192.168.1.1
•
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Note:
After the new IP address is set, the contact with the element will be
lost. In order to reconnect, the PC must have an IP address within
the same subnet as the element.
In addition to setting the IP addresses, the following configuration steps should be
performed in order to establish basic connectivity. For a detailed description of these
procedures, refer to the User Guide for FibeAir IP-20F, IP-20G, and IP-20GX
