Connecting the Ethernet Cable
3.8.1
Preparing the Ethernet Cable and Plug-in Field
To prepare the Ethernet cable and plug-in field:
1 Strip off approximately 45 mm of the outer insulation jacket from the
CAT5E cable.
2 Strip off about 15 mm of the inner insulation jacket.
3 Release the gland cap slightly.
4 Insert the CAT5E cable into the cable gland.
5 Insert the CAT5E plug boot facing up into the cable.
6 Roll back the foil shield insulation and wrap the drain wire around the foil.
Do not remove any insulation from the conductors.
