COMMUNICATION CHECK:
Confirm probe is communicating with control. Press <Alt+I> to open the centroid PLC I/O
diagnostic screen. Locate the inputs entered in parameters 11 and 18 typically these are PLC
inputs 14 and 15. Verify that they change correctly when the probe is first connected. 15 will
turn on solid green and 14 will flash alternately red green then stay red. Also check for a
flashing red LED on the CPU10B daughter card. When the DP-7 is first connected it will flash
its outputs and LED indicator light as a diagnostic tool. The corresponding inputs on the
control should change (flash) as well.
UPGRADING FROM DP-4:
To upgrade from DP-4 the following hardware items are required:
1) Swap out CPU10B motion control card with daughter card
2) Swap out PLC RTK3
3) DSP conduit cable
4) Digitizing harness for RTK3 w/splice connectors
5) Software updates
