4.2 Switching on the instrument
To run the FOODLABfat press the ON/OFF key for a second on key folio.
After switching ON the FOODLABfat heats up to 37°C/98.6°F and the following lines
will be printed out:
* * FOODLABfat by CDR srl
- Firenze -
It takes about 45 min to warm up to
37°C/98.6°F. Make sure that the reading
cells are free and not occupied by a
cuvette!
The photometer parameters are checked
automatically. In case of different values
a message appears for a recalibration.
Cover the cells with the cover pad
(accessory) that keeps out the light,
press the <enter> key to proceed the
calibration process.
After that the results are shown on
display. All installed optics must be “ok”.
In case of differences refer to chapter 5
Error messages. Press enter key to
proceed on.
The instrument is now ready to start
analysis and
the
stand-by dialogue is shown (cell
available).

4.3 Condition of the reading cells
On stand-by dialogue is shown after heating up “cell available” for all three reading
cells. Cell available means that a test can be loaded from the list of tests available.
It is possible to run different tests on different cells, in this modality, information is
visualised on the subsequent condition of the cells. In particular, the name of the on-
going test and the operating status is indicated for each cell.
