Setting up and using the MMX
The
MMX
connects wirelessly over Bluetooth Low Energy to the AFX and supports up to
three Tilta Nucleus-N or M motors in any combination to control focus, zoom and iris of an
attached lens.
The
MMX
is powered by the Tilta Nucleus-N or M motor that you have connected at
PORT
1
and has a simplified user interface comprising a single
BUTTON
and
INDICATOR LED
for configuration.
To configure the
MMX
to communicate with the AFX, you must place it into
MAINTENANCE MODE
which is achieved by powering it on whilst holding the
BUTTON
until the
INDICATOR LED
to change to YELLOW and then releasing it.
The
INDICATOR LED
will then flash a sequence of BLUE flashes to indicate which
CLIENT ID
it is currently set to. The
CLIENT ID
should be set to match the
SERVER ID
of
the AFX that you want to attach the
MMX
to and you should refer to
AFX PREFERENCES
MENU
in
MENU REFERENCE GUIDE - PART 2
for information about how to set this on
the AFX.
To change the
CLIENT ID
of the AFX, press the
BUTTON
to advance to the next setting
and the
INDICATOR LED
will flash the sequence of the newly set
CLIENT ID
ranging from
1 to 6. When the
MMX CLIENT ID
is set to 6, this denotes that it will be connected to the
AFX by wire from Port 3 to the AFX’s interface port rather than BLE.
When you have set the required
CLIENT ID
, you can store it and then reboot the
MMX
by
pressing the
BUTTON
until the
INDICATOR LED
flashes RED twice.
